What did we do?

Escape was conceptualized as a beachfront dining brand that could live across multiple destinations—starting in Greece, but with the potential to scale to places like Thailand. The challenge was creating a brand that wasn’t tied to one locale. We developed a boho-Mediterranean identity that fused natural textures, relaxed design, and a soft color palette reflecting sea and sand. From hammocks to oversized pillows and teak wood furniture, the environment felt calming but curated. Escape was built to deliver a consistent, flexible experience while maintaining a sense of place in every location it touched.

Escape was developed as a location-flexible concept for a beachfront restaurant with an initial focus on Greece, but with the long-term vision of rolling it out in other coastal destinations such as Thailand. The brief called for a brand that felt rooted in island life without being too geographically specific—something that would offer guests a consistent escape, no matter the country. We approached this by designing a brand that celebrated atmosphere, not origin, and prioritized mood, materials, and a sense of slow living.

We built the concept around a boho-Mediterranean identity—natural, relaxed, and stylish without being overly curated. The styling was immersive: hammocks hung between wooden posts, hanging fish nets framed softly lit dining areas, and teak furniture sat atop sand-colored tiles. Oversized pillows in bold patterns and thick brown ropes added a tactile, handcrafted feel. The color palette of beige and light blue evoked sand and sea, forming the emotional core of the visual identity. Every design element was chosen to foster calm, lightness, and connection to place.

Escape was more than a restaurant; it was built to be a feeling. The guest journey was designed around disconnecting—from busy cities, from screens, from expectations—and reconnecting with the now. Whether sitting down for sunset cocktails or long, unhurried dinners, guests would feel transported. The name itself—Escape—became a call to step away and breathe, while the styling and operational framework made it flexible enough to adapt across different markets while still feeling consistent and intentional.
